Praised by New York Times for her impressive coloratura singing, Japanese Soprano, Mizuho Takeshita is one of the most promising singers in today’s operatic realm. She envelops her audience with vocal legato and musical intelligence. Her energy and passion for singing has led Ms. Takeshita to develop a flourishing musical career.
She was selected by the Martina Arroyo Foundation’s Prelude to Performance to sing the part of Olympia in Offenbach’s “Tales of Hoffmann” to which she “aced Olympia's roulades with crystalline accuracy and blazing sustained notes above the staff.” – The Metropolitan Opera Guild.
She has performed many companies across US and Japan including Bel Cantanti Opera in Washington DC, Gulfshore Opera in Florida, NHK Symphony Orchestra, and Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony orchestra, with world acclaimed conductors Paavo Järvi, Kazushi Ono and Steven White and so on.
Her stage presence gives any role believable and graceful intent from Baroque to contemporary, repertoire including the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte, Contessa di Folleville in Il Viaggio a Reims, Gilda in Rigoletto, Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera, Tytania in Midsummer Night’s Dream and the title role of Snow Maiden and many more.
She holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degree from Ochanomizu University in Japan and an Artist Diploma from Mannes College The New School in New York. She is a winner of the Partners for the arts vocal competition, the Metropolitan National Council District Audition and Romanian International Music Competition, second winner of the Japan-Italy vocal competition, in addition to a Finalist of Joy In Singing 2015 and Opera Index Singing Competition.
Currently, Mizuho Takeshita's Exhilarating persona as a professional performer and educator has inspired many gifted young artists in and around Tokyo where she performs regularly and maintains a private voice studio.

福岡県出身のソプラノ歌手。そのみずみずしい歌声と傑出した表現力は各方面で観客を魅了し高い評価を得ている。お茶の水女子大学卒業、同大学院修了。アメリカのマネス音楽院にてアーティスト・ディプロマを取得。ニューヨークを拠点とし、アメリカ各地で数多くのオペラやコンサートに出演。ニューヨーク・タイムズ紙では、「流れるように美しいコロラトゥーラ」と絶賛された。
ワシントンDCにてオペラ「ランメルモールのルチア」でタイトルロールを歌い大成功を収めた。日本では、NHK交響楽団や東京都交響楽団との共演や世界的指揮者パーヴォ・ヤルヴィ氏や大野和士氏らとの公演も重ねている。また、各地でソロリサイタルを開いたり、オーケストラコンサートにソリストとして招かれたりなど、日本での活動の場を広げている。
バロック音楽から現代音楽までそのレパートリーは多岐に渡るが、彼女の持ち前の好奇心と音楽への情熱はクラシックだけに留まらず、ジャズピアニスト松本圭使氏とのコラボレーションやイスラエルのシンガー、ゴン・ハラヴィ氏とのイスラエル・アメリカ音楽コンサートにも参加するなど、各方面でその美しい声が評価されている。
第54回日伊声楽コンコルソ第２位、ルーマニア国際音楽コンクール声楽部門第一位、ワシントンDC・パートナーズ・フォー・ザ・アーツ・コンペティション優勝、メトロポリタンオペラ声楽コンペティション東部地区入賞、第30回飯塚新人音楽コンクール第一位などを受賞
